STANDING WHERE IT IS EASY TO STAND!
Psalm 26:12
My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
In the book of Psalms chapter 26 we find a song of separation.
This chapter could be effortlessly outlined like this:
I. David's Request. (verses 1-2)
II. David's Reasons. (verses 3-5)
III. David's Resolve. (verses 6-11)
IV. David's Reward. (verse 12)
It is while the psalmist David is dealing (under the direct inspiration of the Holy Spirit) with "David's Reward" that a person reads a heart-captivating seven word phrase. (verse 12a)
The sister verse of Psalm 26:12 is Psalm 27:11.
Friend, you and I (those of us that are saved) can locate the place where standing is simple!
There are three essential things that will escort the believer to the place where it is easy to endure. (All found in Psalm 27)
I. INTEGRITY.
A key thing that will lead the believer to the place where it is easy to endure is integrity. (verses 1 & 11) This is moral excellence. When the christian lives a principled life, they will catch the ear of the nonchristian! (Please read Mark 6:20) Integrity!
II. INFLEXIBILITY.
A key thing that will lead the believer to the place where it is easy to endure is inflexibility. (verse 5) It is sad to say, but we live in a day where church pews are full of marshmallows and the pulpit has in it a preacher with a backbone like a gummy bear! Something that this evangelist refuses to be adjustable on is the supreme importance of an Inspired and Preserved Bible! (I Peter 1:23) Inflexibility!
III. INNOCENCY.
A key thing that will lead the believer to the place where it is easy to endure is innocency. (verse 6) Just as God wouldn't allow the priest to serve Him with dirty hands and feet, He won't allow the present believer to do it either! (John 15:3) Innocency!
